Since I can’t exactly run back to Tucson every time I run out, I’ve started making my own version at home. Now it’s something I keep on hand — it makes everything feel just a little more elevated.

A Little Something I Keep on Hand

Why It All Began

My aunt and I have always been big DIYers, so when it came time for my senior photos, we decided to do them ourselves. We had a pretty mediocre camera and no real training — just an idea and a lot of trial and error. Looking back, this was really the beginning, and these are a few highlights from that time. These photos were taken by my aunt — she’s the reason I ever picked up a camera.

are all parenting books yellow??

I love reading, but I’m a slow reader — audiobooks at 2x speed are how I actually get through books. Here are a few I’ve listened to recently.

A Tradition I Love

2025

2023

2020

This is one tradition I didn’t expect to keep — but now I can’t imagine skipping it. Each year, I make it a priority to take family photos for our Christmas card.

There’s something special about seeing how everyone changes from year to year — a small snapshot of that exact season of life, frozen for a moment.

I find myself putting lots of thought into all of it — choosing color pallets, coordinating outfits, paying attention to the little details like shoes and headbands — knowing it will all come together into something I’ll keep.

Over time, I started saving each card in an album, adding a new one every year. It’s slowly filling up, page by page.

Let's Talk About Taylor Swift

I can talk about Taylor Swift all day because we go way back. I’ve been listening since Teardrops on My Guitar!

I love the Folklore/Evermore sister albums — I skip the fewest songs there — though TTPD is a close second. But if I’m being honest, you’ll usually catch me singing Father Figure in my head.

Speaking of concerts I've been to,  I got to see her on the 1989 and Reputation tours (but not the Eras Tour… still a touchy subject).

2020

I still love the white one! The logo is the rigid chemist part of me, but I love the order and simplicity of it.

2025

first batch of Aurum candles were made

The new logo takes the gold symbol, Au, and combines it with the more creative, vine and circle, side of me
